What the site does
It puts the shortfall next to the state's other spending decisions: a reported $14 billion surplus, $1 billion in tax rebates, a $346 million increase to the prison system. Every figure links to a government record or published reporting. It also keeps a timeline, names the lawmakers with influence over appropriations, and gives visitors a way to contact their own representatives.

Georgia voters, foster families, child-welfare advocates, journalists, and anyone trying to understand or pressure the state's response.
Why I built it
We are a foster family. The information was already public and nearly unusable, so I made it readable. No party, no campaign, just the receipts.
